A very fast and simple way to get your Canadian PR status is through the Federal Express Entry. Your profile can be placed into the EE pool, and if you have enough points, you will be invited to apply for PR status or yourself and your family members. Do remember that everything you put on the EE pool MUST be accurate and backed up by documents – once you receive the invitation, IRCC will ask for those documents. If there is any inconsistency between the information that was entered into the EE pool compared to those documents, IRCC may find that you misrepresented (aka lied), and refuse your application, or even bar you from applying in the next few years.
A common problem is that many EE pool candidates do not have enough points to receive this invitation. There are many ways to increase your points – one way is to receive an invitation from Ontario for their Human Capital Priorities Stream. With this invitation, you can apply to the Human Capital program, and if successful, you will receive an additional 600 points in the EE pool – effectively guaranteeing your invitation for PR.
Ontario routinely select candidates that fit with the province’s needs who are already in the EE pool. So, even if you don’t have enough points, it’s always beneficial to be in the pool. We have a client, who holds an undergraduate degree in business from York University and have 1 year of Canadian marketing experience – he is always 300 points short from the EE draw scores. Luckily, he received an invitation from Ontario, which we helped him apply and was successful. With 600 points added, he received invitation for PR immediately and got his PR status within a few months. He was extremely happy, knowing that he can live and work in Canada for as long as he want.
